Sound Familiar?
These symptoms have many possible causes, including thyroid disease, medications, sleep disorders and stress. That is why every plan starts with an evaluation, not a prescription.
When to Get Evaluated
Perimenopause is the transition before menopause, often beginning in the 40s. Cycles may become irregular and symptoms can appear years before periods stop. Menopause is defined as 12 months without a period.
You do not need to wait for menopause to be evaluated. If symptoms are affecting your sleep, work or relationships, an evaluation is reasonable at any stage.
Hormone Evaluation: $595
One flat fee covers a comprehensive symptom and medical history review, hormone and related laboratory testing, a full body composition analysis, and a follow-up visit with Dr. Croland to review your results and build your plan.
You leave with a clear answer on whether hormone therapy is appropriate for you, and what the options are if it is. Starting treatment is your decision.

Individualized to Your History, Labs and Goals
Estradiol
Available as patches, gels, creams or tablets, depending on what suits you.
Progesterone
Generally prescribed alongside estrogen for women who still have a uterus.
Testosterone
May be considered for low libido. There is no FDA-approved testosterone product for women in the United States, so this is an off-label decision that we discuss with you openly.
Pellet Therapy
Small custom-dosed implants placed under the skin in a brief in-office procedure.
Vaginal Therapy
Targeted treatment for dryness and discomfort.
FDA-Approved vs. Compounded Hormones
Many bioidentical hormones, including estradiol and micronized progesterone, are available as FDA-approved products from regular pharmacies. Some patients are better served by a compounded preparation made by a pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not evaluate them for safety or effectiveness.
Dr. Croland explains which type is being recommended and why, so you can make an informed choice.
Who May Not Be a Candidate
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. A history of certain cancers, blood clots, stroke, or unexplained vaginal bleeding may make it unsafe. Your evaluation includes a careful review of these risks, and we will tell you plainly if hormone therapy is not right for you.
Hormone therapy carries risks as well as benefits, and the balance depends on your age, how long since menopause, and your personal and family history.
Monthly Membership After Your Evaluation
Hormone therapy is not a single prescription. It requires follow-up, dose adjustments and appropriate lab monitoring. Ongoing care is offered through a monthly membership.
Medication Management
Ongoing medical management and dose adjustments, starting the day treatment is agreed. Medications and creams are not included.
Medication Management + Labs
Everything above, plus quarterly labs as determined by your doctor. Medications and creams are not included.
Pellet Membership
Ongoing medical management and scheduled pellet visits, after an initial $400 payment at your first insertion. Labs and additional medications are billed separately.
Pellet Membership + Labs
Everything above, plus quarterly labs as determined by your doctor, after the same initial $400 payment.
